The secret meaning behind NCT 127’s ending pose in 0 Mile

I can’t believe I’ve been such an idiot for not seeing this! NCT 127 has been promoting for weeks now!

I just made the connection between Music Bank (a Korean pop music performance show) and Taeyong’s cheeky antics at the end of their performances of “0 Mile.”

And I’m nerdy enough to map it out. You can actually see the evolution.

For those of you (ahem, everyone) who are not tracking NCT’s every move like I am, NCT 127’s latest title track “Cherry Bomb” was deemed unfit for broadcast by the KBS broadcasting network. Apparently the lyrics are too violent (I disagree).

So do SM Entertainment and NCT 127, because they decided that instead of changing the lyrics, they would not promote “Cherry Bomb” on KBS Music Bank. Only “0 Mile.”

If you watch the last few seconds of each performance in chronological order, you can see where the visual dig at KBS comes in, during their first Music Bank performance. I can see Taeyong saying “Fine, you won’t let Mark rap ‘headshot, pop’ on your show? Here’s a REAL headshot pop.”

Basically, bless these boys.

PS. The styling in this performance is particularly on point. I’m loving reggae referee Mark and Taeil is SPOT ON in that flowy printed shirt and skinny jeans.

PPS. Jeno and Jisung of NCT Dream have been recently photographed in hat-mode with bleached hair………comeback soon?!

The Official Watch of Paul Joseph Watson

This will not be a particularly insightful post.

Nor will it be particularly funny.

But it amuses me, so I will post it.

This guy right here? This is Paul Joseph Watson. He’s an editor-at-large for InfoWars.com

Sometimes, he makes shouty British-accented YouTube videos with a world map as his background.

Like so:

Some of them are quite entertaining.

Now, this right here? This is a watch.

But please note the design on the face of the watch.

I would even go so far as to note how the band is puffy and brown, much like Mr. Joseph Watson’s hair.

“Around the World” leather watch

Is this the watch version of PJW?

Could we say that, in his heart, PJW is a watch from Urban Outfitters?

Could one look at this watch and think, “Oh my, it’s time to watch a Paul Joseph Watson video on YouTube?”

We may never know.

What is Johnny wearing?

In case you hadn’t noticed, there’s a strong military theme in NCT 127’s latest comeback, “Cherry Bomb.” (Hint: it’s in the title.) You can see in the video that the members are wearing various types of camo, and the sets feature lots of cool military-style vehicles, airplanes, and a helicopter. In typical K-pop style, none of the military gear is interpreted literally.

This is especially true when you consider NCT, whose stylists clearly enjoy mixing color, pattern, and genre when dressing the members. But no matter how wild and far-reaching the stylist’s decisions get, they always follow the theme. The “Cherry Bomb” visual style seems to be following an 8-bit/military theme so far (we’ll see how it plays out in promotions over the next few weeks). Honestly, I’m tempted to start an entire new category called “In defense of NCT’s stylists.” Their visuals are not perfection, but pretty dangnab close.

Rest assured that Johnny’s wardrobe is neither random nor misplaced. He’s wearing an tactical chest rig, which fits right in to the military theme, AND it’s covered with 8-bit cherry bomb patches. During NCT 127’s showcase, Taeyong called it a “bomb jacket.”

Regardless: BOOM.

Doyoung, Mark, JOHNNY, Jaehyun, Taeyong, Yuta, Haechan, Taeil, Win Win

This type of gear typically used to carry ammo, grenades, or other survival-type supplies. Possibly even cherry bombs. Maybe snacks.

Our Johnny, though? He’s carrying around 5 pairs of socks.

Good thing the Rambo-style bandanna makes up for it.

LOL.

When a beauty vlogger goes offroad…

…in the best of all possible ways.

I love my beauty Youtubers.

I also love my right-wing Youtubers.

Never did I ever expect to get a hybrid combo!

(Although TBH that’s kind of what I’m hoping to do here. Beautiful things from a non-left perspective.)

Sometimes on Youtube I play the game of “who is secretly right-wing?” But really, most of them are not even close. Maybe PewDiePie but he’s not a beauty guru…and the jokes write themselves at this point.

I mean, the media says he’s the next Hitler, so it must be true.

Lauren Southern, on the other hand….

Well, let’s just say I’ll be waiting for her “Top 10 Bestest Highlighters of All Time” video.
